About women under 25 years checkups
If you only do one thing a year, do this. It covers every major organ system, and more importantly it builds a record that makes next year's numbers mean something.
Annual testing works for a reason that has nothing to do with any single result. Most serious conditions take years to develop and give you nothing to notice. The point where they're easy to treat almost never lines up with the point where you'd think to see someone.
Then there's your own history, which is the part people underrate. One result gets compared to a population range built from people nothing like you. Three years of your own results show direction. A creatinine climbing steadily inside the normal range tells a doctor far more than any single reading, and you only get that by testing on a schedule.
You're over 30 with no yearly testing habit
Diabetes, thyroid or heart disease runs in the family
You feel fine and want that confirmed
Your last checkup was more than a year ago
A new job needs a health assessment
You want a baseline before a big lifestyle change
This page lists 9 options. Here's what each one actually measures, so you can pick instead of guessing.
Blood tests
Diabetes Testing (FBS + PLBS): Sugar before food and two hours after. The second number is the interesting one, because that's where trouble shows up first.
Complete Blood Picture (CBP): Counts your red cells, white cells and platelets. It's the cheapest way to catch anaemia or an infection you didn't know you had, and it's the single most booked test we do.
Thyroid Function Tests: Checks the hormones that set how fast your body runs. Worth doing if you're tired, gaining or losing weight without trying, or your hair's thinning.
Vitamin D (25 - Hydroxy Vitamin D, Serum): Your body makes this from sunlight, and most people who work indoors don't get enough. Low levels show up as aching bones, weak muscles and flat mood.
Master Health Checkup: Blood counts, sugar, lipids, liver, kidney, thyroid and urine bundled into one visit. Cheaper than booking the pieces separately.
Scans
Abdominal Ultrasound: Painless look at your liver, gallbladder, kidneys and pancreas. No radiation, and it takes about fifteen minutes.
Packages

Usually 6 to 8 hours fasting. Some scans want a full bladder: Abdominal Ultrasound
8 to 12 hours fasting for the first sample: Diabetes Testing (FBS + PLBS)
No fasting. Take your thyroid tablet after the sample, not before: Thyroid Function Tests
Tell the collection team everything you're taking, prescription or not. Plenty of supplements move these numbers, and without that context your report reads wrong.
Once a year for most adults. Twice if you've got diabetes, high BP, or anything under active treatment.
Keep every year's report. The comparison is where the value builds up, and it only works if you can actually put them side by side.
These tests point at a diagnosis. They don't make one. Read your report with a doctor who knows your history and what you're currently taking.
