About women under 25 years checkups

Heavy training plus supplements puts real load on two organs. Neither of them says anything about it early, and both are simple to check.

What Your Liver and Kidneys Are Handling

Your liver processes everything you swallow, and plenty of supplements shift liver enzymes, including ones marketed as completely natural. Your kidneys handle the nitrogen load from all that protein. Neither complains until fairly late, which is the argument for measuring instead of assuming you're fine.

One thing worth knowing before you panic at a result: muscle mass and recent hard training both push creatinine up on their own, nothing to do with your kidneys. Test the day after a heavy leg session and it can look alarming when nothing's wrong. Rest two days first.

Who Should Consider These Tests

  • You lift more than three times a week

  • You use protein, creatine or pre-workout

  • Progress has stalled despite training properly

  • Low energy, bad recovery, low drive

  • You're starting or ending a supplement cycle

  • You want a baseline before pushing your training up

What Each Test Tells You

This page lists 8 options. Here's what each one actually measures, so you can pick instead of guessing.

Blood tests

  • Electrolyte Panel: Sodium, potassium and the other salts that run your nerves and heart rhythm. They shift fast with heavy sweating, vomiting or water pills.

  • Complete Blood Picture (CBP): Counts your red cells, white cells and platelets. It's the cheapest way to catch anaemia or an infection you didn't know you had, and it's the single most booked test we do.

  • Creatine Kinase (CK) Test: Leaks out when muscle breaks down. High after a brutal session is normal. High when you've rested for two days is not.

  • Lipid Panel: Splits your cholesterol into the good, the bad and the triglycerides. High cholesterol has no symptoms at all, which is exactly the problem.

  • Liver Function Test (LFT): Your liver handles everything you eat, drink and swallow. It puts up with a lot before it complains, so this picks up fatty liver or alcohol strain years before you'd feel anything.

  • Renal Function Test (RFT): Kidneys can lose a big chunk of function before you notice a thing, and what's gone doesn't come back. If you're diabetic or have high BP, this isn't optional.

  • Free Testosterone: The testosterone your body can actually use, not the amount locked away. Low levels mean flat energy, low drive and muscle that won't build.

  • Vitamin D (25 - Hydroxy Vitamin D, Serum): Your body makes this from sunlight, and most people who work indoors don't get enough. Low levels show up as aching bones, weak muscles and flat mood.

How to Prepare

  • No fasting: Complete Blood Picture (CBP), Electrolyte Panel, Vitamin D (25 - Hydroxy Vitamin D, Serum)

  • No hard training for 48 hours: Creatine Kinase (CK) Test

  • Morning sample. Levels drop through the day: Free Testosterone

  • 9 to 12 hours fasting. Water's fine: Lipid Panel

  • Skip alcohol for 24 hours first: Liver Function Test (LFT)

  • Go easy on protein and hard exercise the day before: Renal Function Test (RFT)

Tell the collection team everything you're taking, prescription or not. Plenty of supplements move these numbers, and without that context your report reads wrong.

How Often to Repeat

Twice a year while you're training seriously. Also before and after any new supplement cycle.

Understanding Your Results

Declare everything you're taking, including whatever you bought online without a prescription. Without that, a raised liver enzyme or creatinine sends your doctor chasing the wrong thing entirely.

These tests point at a diagnosis. They don't make one. Read your report with a doctor who knows your history and what you're currently taking.
